Author, attorney and lobbyist, considered a preeminent Florida clemency expert, successfully navigating second chances and civil rights restoration for convicted felons.
Reggie Garcia has devoted his career to navigating the challenging path of executive clemency, civil rights restoration, parole, and second chances for convicted felons in Florida.
A preeminent Florida clemency expert, he’s authored two books and published numerous legal articles and provided legal analysis for major newspapers, and for TV and radio news programs, like Court TV. He shares his criminal justice experience before multiple audiences, including to a 700+ business and community leader event in Tampa, and to a large federal female prison in Tallahassee.
As the country turns more attention toward important criminal justice issues, Reggie is often called upon to share knowledge, offer insight, and recount his experiences of visiting 37 Florida prisons, and arguing executive clemency cases before five Florida governors of both political parties – all in support of prison commutations, pardons, gun rights and restoration of civil rights.
He received his law degree from the University of Florida’s Levin College of Law, is a member of the Florida Bar and is an AV Preeminent-rated lawyer by Martindale Hubbell.
